1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using Wenora, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you use Wenora on behalf of an institution or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Wenora provides
Wenora is an AI-assisted academic workspace for tasks such as reviewing research files, developing and revising manuscripts, organizing reviewer responses, supporting thesis and grant workflows, analyzing supplied data, and producing editable deliverables. Features and availability may change as the service develops.
3. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your Google account secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorized use. Registration is open. Access to paid features depends on your credit balance or institutional agreement.
Wenora uses Google to authenticate your identity. Wenora never asks for, receives, or stores your Google password.
4. Permitted use
You may use Wenora for lawful research, education, writing, analysis, project management, and related professional purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that your use and submitted materials comply with applicable laws, research ethics, institutional rules, publisher policies, funding requirements, and third-party rights.
5. Prohibited use
You may not use Wenora to:
- Violate law, privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual property rights.
- Misrepresent authorship, fabricate evidence, or engage in academic misconduct.
- Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt, probe, or bypass security.
- Access another user's account, workspace, files, or credentials.
- Reverse engineer or scrape the service except where law expressly permits it.
- Use generated material to deceive, impersonate, harass, or cause harm.
- Resell or provide unauthorized shared access to the service.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit and of any rights you may have in outputs. You grant Wenora a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, and transform your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the service or as required by law.
You confirm that you have the rights, permissions, consents, and institutional approvals needed to submit the content and instruct Wenora to process it. You should remove unnecessary personal or confidential information before uploading files.
7. AI-assisted results
AI-generated or AI-assisted results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Wenora is a research support tool, not a substitute for academic judgment, peer review, statistical expertise, legal advice, medical advice, or other professional advice.
You must review and validate outputs before relying on, publishing, or submitting them. In particular, verify citations, quotations, factual claims, calculations, statistical results, permissions, formatting requirements, and compliance with institutional or publisher rules. You remain responsible for the final work and how it is used.
8. Credits, plans, and institutions
Creating an account is free. AI work requires credits, purchased as one-time packages in US dollars or provided through an institutional agreement. Packages do not renew automatically. Displayed task estimates are illustrative, and actual usage varies with the work. Institutional administrators may manage access, allocations, and usage according to their agreement.
9. Third-party services
Wenora relies on third-party services such as Google authentication, infrastructure providers, and AI model providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and may occasionally be unavailable. Links to third-party websites do not imply endorsement or control by Wenora.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep Wenora reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, respond to provider changes, or improve the service. Where practical, we will provide notice of material changes that affect active users.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, prohibited use, non-payment, legal obligation, material breach, or harm to Wenora, users, or third parties. You may stop using Wenora at any time and can request account or data deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Wenora is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or that every output will be accurate, original, complete, or accepted by a journal, institution, funder, or other third party. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
13. Responsibility for loss
To the extent permitted by law, Wenora is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of opportunity, revenue, reputation, or data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Separate written agreements may provide different terms for institutional customers.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service, providers, law, or security practices. We will post the updated terms here and change the date above. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
